Provided Facilities / Services
Quantity of groundwater and level of groundwater is determined for recharge, use and quantity of groundwater available for future in all the 821 blocks in the state. On the basis of this classification of blocks is made by NABARD.
Groundwater related statistics / counseling are provided for planning, development and management of water resources to minor irrigation department, Department of Agriculture, Land Reform Corporation, Water Corporation, and for research work and to water management-related departments/institutions .
Maps are prepared marking the suitable regions for groundwater resources development, tube wells / blast wells
For problematic areas suitable sites for construction of successful wells are selected. This facility can be availed by depositing Rs. 1500 with Minor Irrigation Department, Tube Well Corporation, Water Corporation.
In saltwater areas for construction of successful wells, well logging facility is provided to the consumers at the rate of Rs 10,0000 per logging.
Tube wells are constructed with Rig machines available in the department from the funds available in deposit item.
Chemical tests are available in the Department to determine the quality of the groundwater samples. Required service at the fixed rate of Rs. 250 per test sample is provided with a view of agricultural use of water samples obtained from Consumer departments / institutions.
Different types of statistics almost 30 years old is available in the department regarding groundwater resources, groundwater levels, quality etc.Groundwater data / map can be availed on the payment of rate fixed for the purpose by the departments / agencies, research institutions, planners, managers, consultants etc.(Government Order no. 436 / 62-1-2004-863 / 98 dated May 25, 2004)
The Department of groundwater undertakes groundwater survey / study on related projects through available technologies and multidisciplinary experts.
